If you got kicked for being AFK, usually it is for server being full. You could have accidentally been in the same slot number as someone else and got the kick for that or it could have just been an accident. Kicks are for 10 minutes.

However, if you got a temp ban it would have had a time in minutes and it would not have been for being AFK (unless certain circumstances permitt)

If you were able to get back on since, it was only a kick.

By in-game console;
/bind [key] [cvar command] [name of voice action in this case] [custom text in this case]
Example: /bind 0 vsay cheer "We got 'em!"
Result: When you press 0 you will do the usual Cheer, but the text will say "We got 'em!".

To save your binds + all-settings to config from in-game;
/writeconfig [configname.cfg]
Example: /writeconfig autoexec.cfg
Result: If your config is named autoexec.cfg, it'll automatically load when starting game or mod, depending on if it saves on etmain or jaymod.

If you want to bind on function keys;
Example: /bind f5 vsay cheer "We got 'em!"
Note: You need to manually type f then 5, F5 key won't bind it.


As 999 stated, you can't have the "V" quickchat menu change from default, only if BBA servers have the same file as you on the server's end that it'll do that feature.

Also might want to try the link from Geek's post. You can have chat or misc. binds without visual menu change.


If you need a reliable editor that can handle binds: Notepad++ on download.com can help.

The command you tried is probably /cmdlist
That should show you lots of ET default commands which can help.
Also /bindlist will show you every bind and key assigned you have.
If having trouble finding either of these or any console command, try typing beginning of the command you want (if you remember the start of it) and press TAB...it'll either finish the command or show the possible choices with what you typed.

Just to let you guys know, I ended up going for these on the weekend. Liked the look of them online, but didn't want to spend the extra $$ to have them shipped here. I went out to the local mall and had a look around, and found these there, right next to the Razer mice!! I had no idea either of these brands had, or would ever, hit Australian stores. Anyway, long story short I bought these for around $150AUS which seemed reasonable at the time, and since using them, I've decided is far better than reasonable. These are the most comfy and best sounding headphones I've ever owned. I also love the mic set up. Can't wait to jump on TS sometime with you guys.
