This is not that soon after Bethesda Softworks (the company that became ZeniMax) launched a lawsuit against Interplay over the Fallout series.

This is a dark time in our history when good games and strong stories are getting destroyed by political babble and waste. It seems that Bethesda/ZeniMax are a particularly aggressive corporation with a determined agenda for profit. I just pray this doesn't affect the quality of gaming that enters the market. Project V13 (known to some as Fallout Online) looks promising, but if ZeniMax get their way, the entire thing might have to be reworked or scrapped... _________________ Your mind is a weapon. Sounds like a problem I imagine. Though I already hated id Suckware shortly before the announcement of their buy-out, for their lack of customer service skills.
Then again, there's several things that have been hurting the video game industry badly, surprisingly we still get some good games being released though so the industry is still surviving.
Bad things affecting video games;
Walmart sitting-in on video game company meetings and telling the publishers/developers their requirements if they'll sell the game at their stores.
Big greedy publishers pushing developers around and making a potential seller into a train wreck.
For each copy of bad games like Grand Theft Auto series or Guitar Hero series that sells, that's another dollar vote to ruin the quality of the industry.
XBox 360, need I say more?
Midway games ignoring customers.
Epic Games ignoring customers.
Steam and it's bullying customers around with it's Product Key exploitation.
I also heard that 2009 marked a time in video gaming history that many big-time corporations in video games took a financial hit, while Nintendo who is always trying harder remained stable, and many independent game makers went on the rise. This start-of-a-trend will teach the big bullies a lesson! :) _________________ Pron: It's porn for the dyslexic.

I'm right behind you on that one. I'm a programmer and I have a nasty tendency to develop apps under the GNU GPL v3 for everyone that do a lot of stuff that commercial software had a 'niche' in... One of my main projects at the moment is learning the XNA framework so I can blast out a completely scriptable RPG for FREE :D
Let's kick these game suppressors into touch. _________________ Your mind is a weapon. Keep it clean, clear and loaded.
